WHY HAS THIS GRANTS PROGRAM BEEN ESTABLISHED? First, we seek to improve the lives of people, present and future, throughout the world by advancing the life sciences. Next, we hope to create goodwill in the community and cause these kinds of programs to be established by other companies. Finally, we hope to do a better job serving our customers through the knowledge and the contacts we establish as we pursue this program. WHO IS QUALIFIED TO APPLY FOR A TURNER BIOSYSTEMS GRANT? Qualified applicants: Scientists, researchers, grad students, post docs working in life sciences in colleges, universities, non-profit institutions worldwide. Make sure that you have access to your institution/department website. As a grantee, it is a requirement to link your website to www.luminometer.org. We will send out the luminometer once the link has been established. We require this to help publicize our program. We would appreciate it if you would link your department web page to this page when you apply for a grant. Linking to Luminometer.org is only a requirement if you are a grant recipient. Not Qualified: Competitors, suppliers, dealers, institutions that have previously received a grant, and people working in environmental and aquatic sciences. (Technology licenses with other companies require us to create these restrictions.) HOW OFTEN DO YOU GRANT INSTRUMENTS? We review and grant instruments on a quarterly basis during the months of June, September, December, and March with grant recipients being notified around the 15th of those months. I'M QUALIFIED AND READY TO APPLY... WHAT DO I DO NEXT? Simply click on the Luminometers Offered button on the left, choose your instrument, and click the Apply link. Complete as much of the application as possible to ensure we have a complete understanding of your research activities and the proposed use(s) of our instruments. We make it simple for a reason... we want to grant instruments.
